Bach day

23/10/2010
11:00to16:15

Sandy hosts a Bach day of music and discussion at the beautiful Georgian church of St Anne’s in Kew. In the morning, there’s an overview of the music that Bach wrote for Lutheran worship in early C18th Leipzig, with reference in particular to the 200-odd surviving sacred cantatas. It’s followed in the afternoon by a practical workshop session including an open rehearsal with members of the West London Bach Consort and Players, ahead of their forthcoming Bach cantatas concert on Sunday 7th November at St Michael and All Angels in Bedford Park, London W4. Full details of the Bach Day in Kew are here; and click here for more information about Sandy’s Bach cantata cycle.
