Reflecting the sombre mood of Human Flow, Ai Weiwei's epic documentary feature about the global refugee crisis, a haunting piano line is backed by expressive chordal writing for string ensemble. Sandy Burnett's solo performance is supported by the ensemble string players of George Wilson's Enigma Ensemble in a theme tune commissioned by Princeton University Press.

Approached to create a theme for the newly revamped New Scientist podcast, Sandy Burnett responded with a striking soundworld that blends futuristic space-age synth lines with reflective jazzy harmonies, all enhanced by George Wilson's programming skills. The theme remained as the audio ident week in week out from March 2021 to February 2023.

Another Princeton University Press commission, Turkish Kaleidoscope is a powerful graphic novel that traces Turkey's descent into political violence in the 1970s. The theme tune took Anatolian and Turkish pop music of the period as its starting point; all of the instruments - violin, organ, bass guitar, tambourine and hand drum - are played by Sandy himself.
